Life on Mars - Issuu

Here is a link to a pdf of my Life on Mars on Issuu. It's a series on childhood, the British landscape and reinventing the local environment. Do let me know what you think.

I, of course, love the loose framing that keeps her a figure of the thing, a representation of childhood, rather than the thing itself. To set her in a landscape rather than in more intimate settings adds to this sense of estrangement, too. That is my first, once through the PDF impression. I should probably wait until I've looked more, but first impressions. . . .

I like the idea of a sense of estrangement - I always think of the land as estranged but that idea adds something so thank you.
